We’ve had a lovely weekend with our two boys – two very excitable young boys looking forward to Christmas! We went to RHS Rosemoor in Torrington, Devon. Over the weekend they had a lovely Christmas storytime with Santa’s favourite (but a little bit naughty!), elf and the Christmas Tree Fairy – with songs and a chance to write your letter to Santa. Its running next weekend also (14th and 15th December 2013) and was great fun.
Right – with Santa’s cut-off point fast approaching, I’ve been digging around to find some interesting last minute gifts in time for the big day. I’ve selected a few bits and pieces from all sorts of shops and I hope you find that something just perfect for that special someone!

These are purely decorative, so won’t be of any use for travelling, but I think they would look stunning in the right bedroom or maybe a bathroom? 3. Sabichi Cream Toaster
How unbelievably cool does this toaster look?!?! Available from TJ Hughes for home delivery – this super-funky toaster just screams retro at me. As an aside – I think I bought the worst ever toaster the last time I went out by myself. We were in need of one sharpish as having people to stay and toast is an absolute requirement in the morning – so off I popped to the local supermarket to get one quickly – brought it back home and, believe it or not, normal sized bread from the supermarket does NOT fit into the toaster – the bread is too tall! so you have to turn it around halfway through the toasting procedure. How is this even possible?! Anyway, there will be not such problems with this little beauty! And a great price too!

4. Toile Decorated 3-Bottle Wine Caddy with Drawer
This stunning wine caddy is the perfect shabby chic accessory for the wine-lover. Space for 3 bottles, plus a drawer for keeping your bottle opener in – unfortunately it doesn’t come with the wine! A lovely gift to give or receive I think! Available from overstockstoclear.com and at a great price. They’ve got loads of stuff on their site, a lot of it discounted, so have a look around for other stuff as well!

5. Irwin Vintage Desk Lamp
This incredible lamp comes from Interior Addict and is currently in their 25% off sale! Featuring a simple, elegant design, this lamp is to die for. You’ll have to hurry as the Chrome finish design is out of stock, so Antique Brass it’ll have to be. I think the Brass finish is a touch more opulent, so would make a perfect gift for the person who works from home.
